Today for President's Day we read a short book about George Washington. It had lots of good information in it. We also made Patriotic Wind Socks that are now hanging in the room. We also read part of a book called "President's Stuck in the Bathtub". Did you know that this acutally happened to one of the presidents? This was President William Howard Taft. The book is short poems about the presidents and has some interesting facts. A few other facts, our first president George Washington never slept in the White House and John Quincy Adams used to skinny-dip in the Potomac.
