How does water flow?

In science we have started learning about how technology has changed the world. We began the chapter with an experiment. We learned how water flows through pipes. To start the chapter students first predicted, by looking at different picture, if the water would flow through all the way through the tube, some would stay in the tube, or it would not go out at all. We used a plastic tube and the students all took turns making it curve the different ways the pictures showed. Then they tested their predictions. They seemed to get almost everyone correct. The end results, water flows downward the best.
