This past week both classes read a story of cakes during reading class. The
third grade read the story "Thunder Cake". This was about a little
girl who was scared of thunder and her grandmother helped take her mind of the
storm by baking a cake.
The key thing to
bake this cake is to have it in the oven when there is thunder.
I didn’t have any thunder when I baked the
cake but the kids still thought it was pretty good.
I bet it will taste even better when there is
thunder.
The second grade read the story “Bruno the Baker”.
This was a story about Bruno and his friend
baking a cake for Bruno’s birthday.
It
was a great story about two best friends doing something together they both
enjoy.
Can't wait till we can try some!
