School Spirit

Our final day for Catholic Schools Week was school spirit day. Students were encouraged to wear a St. Joseph’s shirt. In the morning the whole school celebrated mass at Good Samaritan Center with the residents. Afterwards the students read books to the residents. What a fun way to share part of the morning with the residents.

Upon returning back to school the students and I were seated at our table to enjoy our elegant meal.  The table was set with fancy dishes.  Our waitress did an excellent job of serving us.  She poured everyone water and sparkling white grape juice.  Our meal started off with lettuce salad.  Our main course was roast beef, carrots, potatoes, and a dinner roll.  Our desert was strawberry short cake.  This was a very fun meal to spend together as a class and everyone enjoyed it.

In the afternoon we sang some fun worship with Danny from O’Neill St. Mary’s.  After this everyone enjoyed ice cream sundaes before going home for the day.

To wrap Catholic Schools Week we celebrated mass on Sunday with many of our students participating at mass.  A special video was shown that focused on a few things that showed what we do at St. Joseph’s School through faith, academics, and service to our community.
