Flat Stanley visits Boston, MA

Flat Stanley had a great time in Boston, MA.  He was able to spend time with Miss Liewer’s cousin Tyler while visiting Boston. One of Stanley’s highlights from being in Boston was being in a parade on Halloween.  He was also able to spend lots of time at Harvard Law School in Cambridge, MA and learned what you have to do to become a lawyer.  Tyler is currently a student at Harvard Law School.  Stanley was amazed by the size of the classrooms and while spending time in the law school library tried being friends with Joseph Story. However, he was pretty quiet and from the picture that was sent we understand why he was so quiet.  It was a statue!

Stanley was also able to see learn lots of history from Boston.  This was a neat thing to read about because we have recently studied about the Boston Tea Party in Social Studies so the students were able to relate to some of the history to Boston.  Stanley was able to see a house that George Washington stayed in at one time.
Another neat thing that Stanley was able to do was visit a Curious George Store and became friends with lots of monkeys.  Flat Stanley really enjoyed his visit to Boston and wants to send a big thank you to Tyler for his great hospitality while there.

Be sure to stop at school when you have time to look at pictures and all the neat things that Flat Stanley came back with.
We received Flat Stanley in the mail!

 Opening the letter.

I think the smile on her face says that was excited to receive Flat Stanley.

Reading the letter that was sent.

Stanley came back with a Harvard Law School flag which was really neat!
